Offset Admits to Cheating on Cardi B: “I Should’ve Respected Her Way More”

Offset is owning his mistakes — and keeping it all the way real about where things went wrong with Cardi B.
In a recent sit-down on Baby, This is Keke Palmer (Oct. 7), the Migos rapper reflected on his past decisions, saying he “wasn’t perfect” and straight-up admitted to “stepping out” during their marriage.
“I made a lot of mistakes… I should’ve respected her way more,” Offset confessed. “I was being selfish, you know what I mean? And I can say that as a man. I’m a grown man.”
While both Offset and Cardi had their flaws, he pointed out that being under constant public scrutiny — with their relationship playing out in real-time online — only made things worse. Still, he’s not putting the blame on the internet.
“You gotta take that on the chin,” he said. “That’s why when she left, I had to take that on the chin.”
Offset also addressed how social media impacted his mental state, saying the online pressure sometimes pushed him to lash out.
“I done got out of pocket a couple times because you feel like you’re getting bullied. The narrative can be nasty sometimes,” he said, adding that he used to stay quiet, but now feels the need to speak up.
As for the divorce? Cardi B filed for the second time in 2024, while pregnant with their third child. Offset confirmed the paperwork isn’t finalized yet — but he’s ready to move on.
“We have not yet finalized it, but I’m ready for it to be over with.”
In September, the former couple introduced their daughter Blossom to the world. Meanwhile, Cardi has since moved on and is expecting baby number four — this time with her new partner, NFL star Stefon Diggs.
